At John Bellany Day Centre we have close links in our community with other varying services which our service users can access. These include; chiropody, hairdressing and a dentist. Service users pay each service direct as they use them.
We have very close links with our GP surgery, Harbours Medical Practice in Cockenzie. Through the medical practice, service users are often seen at the day centre by the phlebotomist, community nurses and health workers if required by their GP.
At John Bellany Day Centre we hope that we can assist with signposting service users, their families and their carers to services which may be of benefit to them. These include:

Dementia Friendly East Lothian is a network of groups led by people with dementia and care-partners across East Lothian. We have a number of Friendship Groups providing mutual support, Dementia Friendly Communities (DFC) working with the wider community and regular Gatherings where we all get together for friendship and changing the world together. We also work with the Local Council, Health and Social care, business and other groups to affect decisions that matter to us. Friendship Groups meet monthly. Gatherings usually twice a year. Dementia Friendly Communities and projects meet as and when.
